Gospelware moves into Newcastle premises ahead of planned recruitment drive.
The mobile developers and digital product specialists have moved to loft premises in Newcastle.
The digital product specialists cited a need for central location as reason for the move, which is intended to make way for a number of new recruits.
Following a string of innovative projects, including a mobile capture app for medical professionals and a motion-based graphic novel, the firm has recently scooped a major digital healthcare account in the region.
Founders Ryan Davies and Michael Dunn now hope the new premises in Adamson House, on the city’s Westgate Road, will position the business to capture bigger accounts.
Mr Davies said: “Moving to a new office is a great thing for us, our clients this year have been amazing, and we know that being in a bigger space is the next step in our growth as a company.
“We always aim to support graduates in gaining experience for their professional lives, and hope to create as many jobs as possible.
“We’re always seeking to add to our innovative team, and we realise the impact that work in our sector is having on the future.”
To coincide with the move Gospelware is also planning to relaunch its industry meet-up event called Appy Mondays.
The bi-monthly fixture allows sector professionals to get together and listen to presentations from their peers. Gospelware intends to invite guest speakers from around the globe as well as from across the region.
The firm is also eagerly awaiting the outcome of the Northern Digital Awards in January, in which it is shortlisted for in recognition of its GSCEPod project.
GCSEPod – which has been dubbed the ‘spotify of education’ due to its educational podcast player – has 850,000 registered users in over 500 schools across the country. A case study showed that students who downloaded the app for study “greatly outperformed” those who didn’t use the system.
Since launching in 2010 Gospelware has been based in third story offices in Gateshead International Business Centre.
